Uncle Walter’s Treehouse
Completed in June 2007, our treehouse was funded by West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. More than 100 employees from their Jersey Shore, Montgomery and Williamsport plants volunteered and built the treehouse, under the supervision of the late Harold Fisk, a Millville resident who served as Camp Victory’s contractor and adviser. (Fun Fact: lumber used for the build was milled on site, using native trees.)
At the request of West Pharmaceuticals, the treehouse was named in honor of the late Walter H. Eichelberger Jr., a former vice president at West Pharmaceuticals. Now-retired CEO Don Morel said at that time of Walter, “He was a remarkable man … who would be deeply touched by this project … and grateful for how it will bring joy to so many children.”
Today, 18 years after it opened, Uncle Walter’s Treehouse stands not only as a signature venue at Camp Victory, but also as a testament to what’s possible when a partnership works toward a common goal.
