Operations Manager (FTE)

Camp Victory is seeking a full-time Operations Manager!

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operational functions of Camp Victory. This full-time position focuses on food service operations, campus maintenance and volunteer coordination to ensure a safe, well-maintained and mission-aligned camp environment. The Operations Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Camp Director, partner groups, staff and volunteers. The Food Service Manager is a key member of a team serving Camp Victory. Starting salary: mid/high $30s.

Reports To: Executive Director

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Seasonal kitchen staff

  • Two (2) part-time maintenance staff

Schedule

  • Full Time, Flexible

  • Hours vary based on camp schedule and programming needs

  • Includes evenings and weekends during active camp season

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: mid-high $30s, commensurate with experience

Qualifications

  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance

  • ServeSafe Certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)

  • Minimum age of 21

  • Demonstrated supervisory and operational management experience

  • Prior experience in food service and kitchen operations

  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and time-management skills

  • Ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple priorities

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Food Service Operations

  • Oversee all food service operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

  • Supervise kitchen staff in proper food handling, equipment use, and sanitation practices

  • Develop and manage staff schedules for cooks and dishwashers

  • Participate in pre-camp trainings and staff orientation

  • Coordinate menu planning with partner groups

  • Order, receive, inspect, and properly store food and kitchen supplies

  • Ensure all meals are prepared using Camp Victory standardized recipes and procedures

  • Meet with the Camp Director and Partner Group Liaison to coordinate meal schedules and address dietary or special needs

Campus Operations

  • Serve as primary point of contact for campus maintenance

  • Supervise maintenance staff and oversee completion of maintenance projects and repairs

  • Schedule activity-specific staff, including lifeguards and instructional personnel

  • Conduct regular facility walk-throughs with the Camp Director to identify and prioritize maintenance needs

Volunteer Coordination

  • Manage the camp volunteer program

  • Coordinate with partner organizations and companies to schedule volunteer groups

  • Assign and oversee volunteer projects as directed by the Camp Director

General Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of Camp Victory personnel policies

  • Support planning and coordination of fundraising events and program in-services

  • Assist with hosting guests and providing camp tours

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Camp Victory Cook

Purpose:  To respectfully provide high-quality food service for campers and staff with friendly customer service.

Reports to:   Camp Director/Head Cook

Qualifications:        

*PA State Police Clearance

*Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance

*FBI fingerprint clearance

*Mandated Reporter

*Knowledge of safe use of kitchen equipment

*Knowledge of kitchen sanitary/safety requirements & procedures

*Maintain high level of personal hygiene with frequent hand washing

Responsibilities:    

*Participate in pre-camp training           

*Comply with personnel policies for Camp Victory

*Ability to work as part of a team in preparing, cooking and serving menu items

*Complete clean-up and proper storage of food items

*Be willing and prepared to meet special food requirements for both campers and staff

*Follow posted food safety protocols
