Spring-Summer 2012

Sunday March 11, 2012

We will be having our annual Spring Fundraising Dinner, on Sunday, March 11, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Our menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, rolls, beverage, and dessert. The cost will be $7.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 3-12, and children under 3 can eat free of charge. This meal is by reservation only.....please call the Camp Victory office at: 570-458-6530

Friday April 13, 2012

On April 13, 2012, we will officially begin our 19th summer of overnight camps for children with special needs. Our first camp of the summer will be Club Lilly. From that date through the end of October, we will host 17 different weekend camps and 12 weeklong camps….more that 1,500 campers will benefit from coming to our Camp Victory facility to swim, fish, climb, play, “hang out”, and make life-long friends. Miracles happen every day at Camp Victory!

Saturday April 21 – April 22, 2012

The second annual Christian F. Wolff Jr. Memorial Pool Tournament, sponsored by Susquehanna Billiards, will be held at the VFW Post 804 in Bloomsburg. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM. The first match will start at 10:30 AM. This will be a double elimination tournament following BCA League Rules. For more information call Camp Victory at 570-458-6530.

Sunday April 29, 2012

Camp Victory will be hosting its first ever basket bingo event on April 29, 2012. The doors open at 2:00pm, and bingo starts at 3:00pm. A ticket to play can only be purchased in advance for $20. Please call 570-458-4690 for tickets or other information. Food concessions will be available.

April and May 2012
Weekdays

Camp Victory will once again be hosting 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from surrounding school districts at our Greenwood Environmental Education Center. We “partner” with the participating school districts to present this amazing environmental education program. We will be hosting one day field trips for four school districts this spring, as well as hosting three school districts for overnight events. All total, we will host over 1,100 children for this fun and education program!

Saturday May 5, 2012

Camp Victory’s Annual Work Day will take place on Saturday May 5th beginning at 9:00 AM. We hope you can join us in working to make sure that our buildings and grounds are ready for all of our special campers!

Sunday May 6, 2012

The Mopar Muscle Club of Central PA will host its first ever Cruising for Victory on Sunday, May 6th beginning at 10:00 am. The Rally will include a scenic ride beginning and ending at Camp Victory. The ride will be followed by a yummy picnic style lunch. For more information please call Camp Victory at 570-458-6530.

Thursday July 19, 2012

Camp Victory Board member Bob McBride and Chris Howell have organized the 6th annual “Golf for Victory Tournament.” It will be held at Berwick Golf Club on July 19, 2012, with a 12:00pm shotgun start. Last year this amazing event raised over $32,000.00 for Camp Victory and our special campers. For more information please call Jamie Huntley @ 570-458-6530.

Sunday August 26, 2012

Dr. O’s Victory Ride 2012 will be held on Sunday, August 26 at Camp Victory. This is such a fun way to raise money for Camp Victory’s special kids. Tim Hammaker and his wonderful crew of volunteers always do such a wonderful job planning this special annual event! And, Camp Victory’s amazing kitchen staff always prepares delicious food for all of the riders! Please click here to download a registration flyer.

Saturday, September 8, 2012

Camp Victory’s Community Open House will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 beginning at 12:00 Noon. This special event is open to the public and Camp Victory will provide free hotdogs, chips, and drinks as well as free admission to our swimming pool, climbing tower, and zip line as well as a bouncy house and other fun activities. Children must be accompanied by their parents.

Camp Victory’s Appreciation Day will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 3:00pm. This event is held every year to honor all of our wonderful volunteers and donors that help make it possible for us to continue to provide the camp experience to our very special campers. Gail Truax and her wonderful kitchen crew always serve a delicious dinner to all of our guests after the Appreciation Day ceremonies.
